Sonar
Sonar is a powerful tool for search operations on the water, but only when the device is well understood and used correctly . During this practical training course, boat teams ā such as those of the fire department or other emergency services ā learn how to work efficiently and purposefully with sonar equipment.
The training is conducted in a small group to ensure sufficient time to address personal questions and work interactively . It includes both theory and practice. This allows you to better understand the device's technology and subsequently learn how to apply it in practice.
Because learning to interpret sonar requires a lot of practice and repetition, this is a course that can be repeated every six months or annually to keep knowledge up to date.
Duration: 2 hours practical + 2 hours theory
Target group: Fire Department, Civil Protection, Police, Rescue services, ... that use Sonar
Number of participants: maximum 6 people
This course can be adapted according to the level of the group.
Outboard motor
Anyone boating a RIB automatically comes into contact with the outboard motor ā and that requires specific knowledge.
An outboard motor is a remarkable piece of technology with its own characteristics and requirements. In this course, we provide insight into the key components of the motor, how it functions, and above all: how to handle it to avoid technical problems. After all, a long lifespan begins with correct use.
You will learn to recognize common problems and ā where possible ā solve them yourself. We address what is truly important during use, and if desired, we also delve deeper into the (basic) maintenance of the engine. We tailor the content to the needs of the group and the equipment you work with within your organization.
This course combines technical explanations with practical insights. No dry theory, but clear knowledge that you can immediately apply in practice.
Duration: 4 hours, divided according to the needs of the group

Radio communication
Anyone active as a rescue worker on the water knows how crucial good communication is. Many rescue workers are familiar with ASTRID radios, but marine radio ā VHF communication ā follows its own set of rules, customs, and etiquette. That is precisely why we developed this specialized training course, tailored for you as a professional rescue worker.
During the training, we delve deeper into the regulations and procedures that specifically apply on the water. We cover the proper use of VHF radios, emergency procedures, channel allocation, call structures, and communication ethics on the water ā because clear communication prevents accidents.
Tim shares his years of experience on the water, gained in diverse boating areas and countries. With hundreds of hours of practical knowledge, he knows perfectly what works in reality and translates theory into actionable insights.

Sailing and manoeuvring
This course is intended for teams that have already mastered the basics of sailing but wish to deepen and refine their skills in accordance with their specific field of work.
The content of this course is tailored to your boating area, the type of boat you work with, and the situations you face. Therefore, we prefer to conduct this training using your own vessel. If desired, it can also be provided using one of our own 6.5 or 7-meter RIBs.
We cover topics such as sailing in currents, handling wind, safely approaching a victim, the use of onboard equipment, and maneuvers in realistic scenarios. This training can be repeated semi-annually or annually, each time with a different focus or emphasis based on the experience and needs of the team.
Duration: 2 hours theory + 6 hours practice

Number of participants: maximum 4 people
We prefer to conduct this training using your own vessel.
